How do I calculate my hours worked?

How is overtime calculated?

Overtime is calculated on hours worked beyond the threshold you set (e.g. 40 hours per week in the US, 44 in Canada). Hours above the threshold are multiplied by your overtime rate — typically 1.5x your regular rate. Some jurisdictions also have daily overtime rules — check your employment standards.

How do I convert hours and minutes to decimal?

To convert minutes to decimal hours, divide the minutes by 60. For example, 7 hours 30 minutes = 7 + (30/60) = 7.5 hours. This calculator handles the conversion automatically — you just enter your times and it calculates everything for you.
